This system will save you hours on paving your sim. Have multiple sims? The times savings just keep adding up.
Want to PAVE an entire sim with perfectly lined up roads in a little as 5 minutes? Cool keep reading then.
Do you like Paving new roads on sims? No one does. Line them up, adjust them, rotate them. Readjust, rotate, change the road structure and you have to line up new pieces. I hate it.
So I set out to first to make my own roads, ones that you can drive on smoothly and not bump all over the place due to physics issues, and then created a paving system for them.
So how does this work? Simplest paving in SL.
1. Sit down on Paver
2. Click Base of Paver
3. Choose the type of road. Straight, Driveway, Corner, 3 Way, T Driveway, 4 Way, Dead End.
4. If the height of the road needs ot be adjusted. Select BOTH the road and paver and adjust it.
5. Once the Piece is in place, click the road for a new menu. This allows you to choose Rotation and Texture. Texture options include sewers and crosswalks. Once done click finish.
6. Click on the base and select move. Select the direction and once in the new location return to step 3.
Rinse and Repeat
DO NOT ROTATE THE PAVER
Demo pieces with go poof a few minutes.
I will add to these instructions if need be, but it is really THAT simple.
Suggestion. Prior to removing the paver once the roads are laid out. Record the coordinated of the paver on the last laid piece. That way if you need to make changes later. You will have the paver set and lined up to do so.
